Team building(Survival activity)(redone)

The second of the two activities was an activity where we had to decide what items would be most useful in surviving from a ship crash.

• the most useful of all the items we decided for being rescued would be the shaving mirror because then you would be able to flash down airplanes that were flying by
• the least useful of everything on the list was the sextant because you wouldn't have any of the other things you would need to use the sextant

Team building(tennis ball activity)(redone)

Today in class we did 2 team building activities one was where we threw tennis balls in the quad

• The first challenge was just to see how fast we could get the tennis ball to touch everyone in the teams hand
• The second challenge was just like the first except that the ball could only touch one hand at a time
• The third challenge was to spread out then pass the ball and still get it to touch everyone
• The fourth challenge was just like the third except that the ball couldn't touch the person right next to the person it came from
• Our plan for the first challenge was just to have one person hold the ball and then just to touch everyones hands with it
• This plan stayed the same until we put in the criteria where the ball could only touch one person at a time then we decided to throw the ball to another person across the way
• For most of the challenges our plan worked excellently but we lost against the other team at one point when we were not allowed to have multiple people touch the ball at the same time
• If we were to redo this activity I would probably use the same tactics
• One thing I would do differently is that for when it comes to the challenge where we are only allowed
